About Good

John Halder is a good man. But John Halder must adapt to survive. How is it possible to be a good person when things are falling apart?

‘You make a deal with yourself one minute, you totally repudiate it the next.’

As the world faces its Second World War, John Halder, a decent, intelligent, music loving German professor, finds himself swept along in a movement that crescendos towards an unthinkable finale. Good is a warning for our times.

Olivier Award-winning director Dominic Cooke reimagines one of Britain’s most powerful political plays with David Tennant returning to the West End, for 10 weeks only.

Great writing, Excellent lead, Powerful

See it if you enjoy well-written plays on banalities of evil. Mr. Tennant is terrific as a 1930s German intellectual rationalizing Nazi party ideology

Don’t see it if you have a hard time following actors playing multiple roles, sometimes switching mid-sentence, or events that are presented out of sequence

Character study, Chilling, Absorbing, Ambitious, Clever

See it if David Tennant commands the stage throughout. A very good character study on how someone can go from good to evil.

Don’t see it if The show is minimalist theatre, so if you prefer the spectacle of the west end, you won't find that here.
